Washington Nationals vs Miami Marlins MLB Game Day Prediction
Play Ball! The Boys of Summer are back and help add bulge to the Bodog betting board today. Not seeing anything that peaked our interest in the National Hockey League or the National Basketball Association, we turn to Major League Baseball for today’s handicapping call. One of the best clubs in the Majors wraps up a three game series with one of the worst 2013 MLB teams when the Washington Nationals host the Miami Marlins at 4:05 PM ET on April 4, 2013.
Power pitching has Washington in historic territory
Washington joined elite company yesterday as they shutout the Miami Marlins for a second straight day. Winning 2-0 on Opening Day and then 3-0 last night, the Nationals became just the 13th team in MLB history to open the season with back-to-back shutouts. RHP Jordan Zimmerman heads to the bump as the Nats looks to join the 1963 St. Louis Cardinals as the only teams to open a season with three straight shutout victories – in 1013 years!
Debate Fodder: Who is worse the Miami Marlins or Houston Astros?
After producing just seven hits in their first two contests the Miami Marlins are showing why they may be the worst team in the Majors. Another off-season fire sale has the Marlins looking more like Manatee’s as Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, John Buck, and Emilio Bonifacio were all shipped to Toronto. LHP Wade LeBlanc makes his 80th MLB start in this one (19-27 ERA 4.38 career) and he’s in a tough spot on the road at Nationals Park tonight.
