Montreal Canadiens vs Edmonton Oilers NHL Game Day Update
National Hockey League action gets our attention tonight as we check in on what should be a lopsided affair. The Edmonton Oilers, who are on the last game of a marathon east coast road trip, visit the Montreal Canadiens in a West versus East battle. Puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM ET on October 19, 2013, from the Bell Centre in Quebec, Canada. We like the Habs here!
Montreal Canadiens: Look to get back on a winning roll
Following a Saturday night stumble, during a hard fought 2-1 home loss against the Nashville Predators on the weekend, Montreal is looking to get back on a winning run. Prior to that the Has had won four straight games by a combined 16-5 final count and they get a road weary Edmonton team in their own barn here. Carey Price could use some support on offense and defense in this game as the Habs were out-shot 37-29 in the loss to the Predators – he’ll get it!
Edmonton Oilers: Long road trip has not been kind to the Alberta Boys
It’s been a long and winding path for Edmonton recently as the Oilers will play their sixth road game in eleven days when they roll into the Bell Centre tonight. Despite a 3-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators Saturday, this extended road trip has not been a memorable one for the Oilers. Edmonton lost to the Leafs, Capitals, Penguins, and Islanders during the first four games – although the scores at a combined 16-11 were respectable. The Oilers will be gassed!
