Cowboys vs Redskins NFL Week 12 Thanksgiving Day Wagering
Take it from someone who has experienced the American Thanksgiving week festivities on many occasions – there are huge celebrations being hosted from sea to shining sea all week long in the United States. The National Football League parties right along with them as there are a trio of games on Thanksgiving Thursday betting board. With this post we focus on the Washington Redskins vs Dallas Cowboys contest. This epic NFC East rivalry game gets underway at 4:15 PM ET on November 22, 2012, from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Dallas Cowboys: Back in the NFC East playoff picture
A visit by the Cleveland Browns can easily be overlooked and Dallas appeared to do just that during Week 11 action. Down 13-3 after three quarters, the Cowboys outscored Cleveland 17-7 in the fourth quarter and then kicked a field goal to win 23-20 in overtime. That effort could be looked at as the same old ‘Boys or it may be the jump start that Dallas needed as they make their push towards the playoffs. A win over Washington would put a big dent in the Redskins playoff hopes and make the NFC East a virtual two team race.
Washington Redskins: Revive slim playoff hopes with Eagles annihilation
It seems like a contest versus the Philadelphia Eagles is just what a team needs to revitalize their playoff hopes. Detroit, New Orleans and Dallas all enjoyed a Philly bump recently. Washington got in on the party this past weekend as the Redskin ripped the Eagles 31-6 at FedEx Field. That said, the win only moves Washington to 4-6 and they will have to go at least 4-2 to have any shoot at the postseason. With two games against Dallas, plus one each against the Giants and the Ravens, we don’t see the Redskins making the playoff party.
Advantage Sports Betting Redskins vs Cowboys Betting Lines and Game Day Call
As we expected, the betting lines on the Washington vs Dallas contest are very thin at the sportsinteraction.com online wagering website. Dallas opened at -3 (-110) against the spread and -170 as money line home chalk. Washington has been posted at +145 straight up and the Over/Under is set at 48 total points. Dallas has gone 6-1 S/U over the last seven games in this series, including three straight wins that were decided by three points or less.
Washington is decimated by injuries on defense and the Dallas offense should have their way with what’s left on the field. We have a feeling that this could be a blowout win by the Cowboys as they have better weapons on offense and they excel at home on Thanksgiving Day. Give us Dallas at -3 points against the spread (-110) with a 10% bankroll bet at SportsInteraction!
