The 2011-12 NCAA College Football Bowl Championship Series kicks off with a trio of games on Saturday, December 17, 2011. A total of 34 NCAA Bowl games will be played leading up to the Louisiana State University Tigers defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA National Championship on January 9, 2012, from the Superdome in New Orleans.
Gildan New Mexico Bowl Kicks Off Bowl Season Action
Bowl season action kicks off as the Temple Owls (8-4) meet the Wyoming Cowboys (8-4) at University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Mid-Atlantic Conference vs. Mountain West Conference action takes place on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 2:00 PM ET.
