NFL Week Two Betting: Giants vs Rams
The NFL’s Week Two installment of Monday Night Football features two playoff-hopefuls starting the season 0-1. The New York Giants play host to the St. Louis Rams in a battle of the NFC East vs NFC West.
Former New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will return to the Big Apple Monday night for the Giants home opener – but this time as head coach of the visiting St. Louis Rams.
Kickoff starts the live betting action at 8:30 PM ET on Monday, September 19, 2011, from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Rams @ Giants: NFL Week Two Game Day Preview
Both teams are suffering major injury woes that they will need to adapt to quickly. St. Louis is missing a handful of important players and New York is likely without DE Osi Umenyiora. At least the Rams have QB Sam Bradford back, who missed some game time with a bruised finger during the fourth quarter of last week’s 31-13 loss to the Eagles.
New York’s injury report is even uglier. Five crucial defensive players are already lost for the season, but on the bright side DE Justin Tuck will likely make his season debut tonight. The Giants look to make up for their 28-14 loss to the Redskins last week, when Eli Manning completed 18 of 32 passes for 268 yards.
Monday Night Betting Lines: Giants vs Rams
Since a 15-14 victory in 2001, St. Louis has lost four straight games to New York.
