I could never forget this movie, it's as beautiful as it is sad, and the character of Malena is one that many women can relate to. It's an important film because, although it hypersexualizes Malena's role, it also shows the sexist, hypersexualizing and paternalistic society in which women live and evolve. Monica is vulnerable in this role but yet so powerful, she never disappoint.
